Programme

The Minor in International Communication (fall semester) is more aimed at students with a communication (marketing, PR, advertising) background.

The Minor in International Journalism (spring semester) at students with a Journalism/Media study profile.

If you enrol in a minor programme, you should select a number of courses for minimum 18 ECTS and maximum 33 ECTS from the list of offered courses. An average semester comprises 30 ECTS. It is not possible to combine courses from different departments or programmes.

Due to the fact that a number of topics allow limited student numbers, we are forced to stop the applications at 35 per semester. We only do this to guarantee the quality of our education and logistics. We apologize for any inconveniences or unfulfilled expectations.

Requirements

Exchange students whose native language is not English must meet level B2 requirements for English proficiency, according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Both official certificates and confirmation letters issued by the home university will be accepted.

How to apply

As an exchange student of a partner university, you have to contact the international coordinator at your home university who has to nominate you for a minor programme. Then you will receive by email information and instructions on the application procedure.

Fall semester 2020

  • Application deadline: May 15, 2020
  • Introduction week: September 15 - 18, 2020
  • Classes and exams: September 21, 2020 to January 29, 2021
  • Resit exams: February 1 - 5, 2021

Spring semester 2021

  • Application deadline: November 1, 2020
  • Introduction week: February 2 - 5, 2021
  • Classes and exams: February 8, 2021 to June 25, 2021 
  • Resit exams: June 28 - July 2, 2021
